The Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu is a form of energy medicine that utilizes hand and finger holds to eliminate stress, create emotional equilibrium, relieve pain, and help to alleviate acute or chronic conditions.
Using only minimal pressure the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu is an extraordinarily simple practice. While acupressure and acupuncture use more than 300 points, Jin Shin Jyutsu works with a set of 26 areas called safety energy locks found along specific pathways in the body. When a pathway becomes blocked, energy stagnates. A block that initially affects the local area of stagnation can create imbalances along the any part of the energy pathway in the body associated or in relation to that pathway or area. Utilizing the hands as jumper cables, practitioners redirect or unblock the stagnant energy to allow it to flow freely once again.
Jin Shin Jyutsu also includes simple self help routines or practices to supplement sessions, creating an at home maintenance practice.
At it's core, Jin Shin Jyutsu embodies a life of simplicity, calm, patience, peace and self-containment.
Practitioners regard the art not only as a style of bodywork, but as a philosophy and way of life.

Craniosacral work is based on a thorough knowledge of cranial and sacral anatomy which requires sensitivity of touch, discerning faults through rhythm, position, and discreet movement patterns. Craniosacral work is based on the understanding that any one bone is a hologram of the entire body.
To many, a bone is just a "bone"- a strong, white hard substance. But bone is rich in lore, archetypally representing that which immortal in us. that which is transcendental to death.
Bone has a spiritual component; it represents our foundation, our freedom to move and manifest our dreams into reality.
Our cranial bones reflect our attitude; They sometimes get stiff because we are stiff and stubborn.
So the more relaxed and open we are, the more moveable our cranial sutures will be. Craniosacral work specializes in the head, spine, and sacrum. It specializes in matters of the heart and soul, giving us a great gift.
